Our Areas Of Support
At Kids Talk Speech Pathology, we provide individualised therapy for children across a range of areas.
-
We support children who have difficulty pronouncing speech sounds clearly, making their speech hard to understand. Therapy focuses on improving articulation, speech clarity, and sound production using fun and engaging activities.
-
We work with children who have challenges with:
Understanding spoken language
Expressing themselves verbally
Using grammar and vocabulary appropriately
We also support non-speaking children by introducing Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC) systems, such as visuals, signs, or speech-generating devices.
-
We help children develop the skills they need to use language confidently. These skills are essential for building friendships, participating in group activities, and expressing themselves effectively.
We use a play-based therapy approach, creating fun and meaningful interactions that help children learn and grow in a natural, supportive environment.
-
We support children with reading and writing difficulties, including:
Pre-literacy skills for younger children (e.g., phonological awareness, letter recognition)
Systematic synthetic phonics intervention for school-aged children
Reading, spelling, comprehension, and written expression
Our literacy programs are tailored to each child’s learning style and individual goals.
-
We use a responsive feeding therapy approach to support children who have challenges with eating and drinking.
Signs of feeding difficulties may include:
Refusing certain textures or food groups
Gagging, coughing or choking during meals
Difficulty chewing or swallowing
Long mealtimes
Limited variety in accepted foods
Anxiety or distress around mealtimes
Poor weight gain or growth concerns
